Nils Fabian Müller is a Ph.D. Candidate in Politics at LUISS. His research interests lie at the intersection of migration, foreign policy, and (in)security, with a regional focus on the wider Mediterranean. As such, he seeks to explore these domains through a mixed methods framework. The preliminary title of his thesis is “Failing forward (in)formally? Investigating the Resurgence of ‘Deals’ and Informalisation Tendencies within European External Migration Governance.”
