Teaching Programme

In addition to the organisation of dedicated research seminars for the PhD and PostDoc community, and participation in the Departmental Research Seminars, the Luiss PhD in Politics also includes a series of taught courses in the first and second years of study. These courses, taught by scholars from Luiss as well as external experts, provide PhD candidates with a strong grounding in the foundations of social scientific research. Teaching is organised across three ‘pillars’ devoted to a) the main theories of political science and political philosophy, b) the comprehensive study and application of both qualitative and quantitative methods, and c) the development of research design and research skills.

An outline of the teaching programme of the current academic year is provided below, and more information on the individual courses can be obtained by clicking on their respective links.
