Alessandro Piperno

Alessandro Piperno is a Ph.D. student in Management at Luiss university. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Bocconi University in Milan (IT) and a master’s degree in urban management and Development at Erasmus University in Rotterdam (NL). Before the Ph.D., he has worked for PwC as a strategic consultant in a group specialized in the development of urban projects and communities. His research focuses on social and community enterprises and on how hybrid organizations can develop business models which enable them to contribute to the development of cities and the sustainable use of common resources. As part of his research, he is currently working in a Horizon 2020 project OpenHeritage and other European and national project related to entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainability. He is also coordinator of the Research Methodology Lab and of the xLabs, in the master Law Digital Innovation and Sustainability, and the GrInn Lab a course part of the Training opportunities and soft skills of the university. He also collaborates with the LabGov.city as a research fellow for both scientific and applied research projects. Alessandro is also one of the founders of Ridaje, an innovative social start-up, which aims to regenerate urban green areas and empower the homeless to become urban gardeners.
