Biography

Matilde Elia is a PhD Candidate in the Doctoral Program in Management at Luiss Guido Carli University, specializing in Strategy and Innovation. She holds a Master’s in Management with distinction from ESCP Business School, a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance from Bocconi University, and a Diploma in Emergencies and Humanitarian Intervention from the Italian Institute for Political Studies.

Matilde has a diverse professional background spanning consulting, international organizations, and social impact enterprises. She worked at KPMG Advisory, contributing to the digital transformation of Italy’s national education system under the Next Generation EU plan, and at the World Food Programme, where she supported the optimization of back-office collaboration across UN Country Offices.

Her academic and volunteering experiences across Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America have provided her with a global perspective and a strong commitment to innovation and sustainable development. During her studies, she actively engaged in academic community initiatives as a student representative and ambassador, reflecting her passion for the university environment.

Her research focuses on how firms leverage dynamic capabilities, artificial intelligence, and open social innovation to drive sustainable and collaborative innovation models.
