Maziyar Bahrami is a PhD candidate in Management at Luiss University under the supervision of Professor Paolo Spagnoletti. His research lies at the intersection of Information Systems, organizational studies, and digital innovation, with a particular focus on the organizational adoption, governance, and risks of artificial intelligence. His doctoral research examines how trustworthy and accountable AI systems can be designed and governed to support secure, privacy-preserving collaboration across organizational boundaries, particularly in the healthcare sector.
His broader research interests include AI governance, responsible and trustworthy AI, cybersecurity management, data governance, and inter-organizational digital collaboration. He is also interested in Design Science Research, machine learning, natural language processing, and advanced quantitative and computational research methods.
Maziyar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Finance from Kharazmi University of Tehran, as well as an MSc in Data Science and Management from Luiss University. His master’s research focused on federated learning, blockchain, and privacy-preserving technologies for collaborative AI in healthcare. Before entering academia, he gained several years of professional experience in national and international organizations, working in business analysis, market research, sales data analytics, and research and development
